Now, this is what I’m talking about! Some Authentic German Food!
Okay, honestly, Germany isn’t known for their cuisine. And, if I am being totally honest, since during the day I am constantly at a “go go go!” pace, it’s hard for me to want to figure out what I am about to put in my stomach – so I haven’t been very brave like I was in Brussels. But, I figured Bremen would be the perfect place to give some good ol’ german food a try. I was not disappointed, and now I look forward to eating a lot more of it!
I stumbled across Achim’s Beck’shaus while walking through Bremen. Honestly, I saw so much in Bremen I couldn’t tell you where to find this restaurant. But, GO! I didn’t eat on the patio this time. Instead, I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. It is exactly what american Irish pubs try to mimic, except you know – authentic. It was dimly lit, and I was surrounded by some groups enjoying beers and others enjoying lunch.
I found something on the menu with the word “brat” in it, since I was noticing that is what German food was, and ordered it. It turned out to be delicious and quite satisfying. I would 10/10 go back!
